The nerve of Warner Bros. Discovery will never cease to amaze me. Todays personal grievance comes from none other than the companys CEO and president David Zaslav, who shared a curious point of view regarding the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.

When asked, what will bring [the production companies and the writers] back together, on CNBCs Squawk Box (via Deadline), Zaslav said that the strike will end because of a love for the business and a love for working.

The sign roughly translates to "Work Makes Freedom", implying that the harder the prisoners worked, the more likely it'd be they'd be set free. Which of course, was a total fucking lie.

I am pro union and worker's rights but I have no sympathy for people who's job is writing "jokes" or scripts or whatever. They should try working a real 9-5 for a change and see the suffering regular people have in their day job.
Imagine getting paid a ludcirous amount of money for sitting in an air conditioned office for a few hours enjoying fully comped snacks, drinks, massages, etc and your task for the day is writing "{Political figure} BAD [laugh track plays]".
TV and movies are just tool to keep the working man and woman satiated and firmly stuck in their place too placid to revolt. When the day comes the screen writers will be up against the wall alongside the studio execs
