Wrote a guide for this ages ago, but pretty much washed my hands of the series after ME3, which I thought sucked for the most part. Contemplated going through as MaleShep, but then remembered he had the personality of a soggy cardboard box, so it's back with the ol' usual. Soldiers get all weapons and heavy armor, so I'm gonna have some fun.

I'm pretty sure they changed that in the LE.

Maybe it's because I played him as a goody-two-shoes character, but he was boring as hell to me. FemShep is the true Shep, so sayeth I.

I checked and it said most classes get light armor and a few get medium. No big deal, I guess.

ManShep starts weak and gets better, FemShep has steady quality across the board.

Though you'll start hearing Renegade FemShep fuckin' everywhere.

It breaks my heart to see people play Soldier.

I kinda want to play as a evil Shepard, but, man, it's kinda hard to do just that.

Ahhhhhhhhh, killed a dude in one hit with a melee attack. I miss those funny-ass SOCOM vibes when you'd be doing great, and then you pop around a corner and get one-shotted, losing all progress. Not that I care about the geth -- I'll destroy 'em, if I can make it that far.

Hmm, I think I can get Wrex around the same time I get Garrus. Hope I don't have to wait too long.

I tried playing Renegade one time. I made it partway through Eden Prime, decided I couldn't do it, and never tried again.

I never subscribed to it at release when people talked about how broke adepts arethen I decided to do it with the legendary edition and good lord they really ridiculous.

Yeah, I'd look into playing non-soldier roles if I was on max difficulty or something. Until then, I can solve all the problems in this galaxy with old-fashioned bullets.

On a paragon male Shepard soldier play-through myself, currently.

For some reason, I cant do a renegade Shep. Not sure why. I had no trouble with rolling a dark side Revan earlier.

I know some of these characters show up again in later games, so the urge to be a dick and/or kill them could rob me of rewards, etc. That's the main impetus in not being full renegade, I guess. I seem to remember some type of conversations in the past where you could repeatedly farm paragade points, but I doubt they were preserved for this edition..........or were they?

Dammit, I don't want to bring along Kaidan just so I can hack objects. I didn't come out to the ass end of the Podunk system just to find crashed probes and leave empty-handed.

It's rough in some parts, and the planetary exploration outside story areas can be a bit bland, but ME1 might be my favorite, too. The other games execute certain things better, certainly, but there's something about the first game that appeals to me.

Oh yeah, Garrus can decrypt stuff. Was wondering why I always held up the Shepard-Wrex-Garrus formation as my fave if it had such a glaring downside. I'll have to go back to Tuntau and find Wrex's armor again -- already cleared out the base, haha.

I like Marc Meer but Hale just knocked it out of the park with Shep

Meer did better in 2 and 3 but in 1 he had the emotional range of a spoon. His pillow talk with his girlfriend and his angry threats while 15 Krogan have shotguns pointed at him have the identical cadence

The boring worlds at least look good. Traversing these crapholes also got better when I found the boost and cannon buttons. I fought a thresher maw and was all "why am I struggling against this assclown? I could've sworn it was way easier back then."

Sadly, we won't get any smooth criminals until one of my fave characters (Zaeed) shows up in future games.

all classes can use all weapons, but they don't get to put any skill points into them or use their related abilities

So if I want to do a playthrough of all 3 games twice, once as male Shep and the other as female Shep, is it better to do paragon male/renegade female or paragon female/renegade male?

Meer is better as a paragon than with his renegade. Though with some lines his lack of experience actually makes it funnier (for example, "big stupid jellyfish").

Hale is just better overall either way.

Ahh, it's good to know you can still do the infinite paragade trick on Noveria. I'm mostly ignoring the paragon replies, though, so it's just for fun.

I don't really like the music as much when I'm playing, but listening to it outside the game, yeah, it ain't bad.

All gave some; some gave all. If I was playing as the boring paragon MShep, I would've probably kept Kaidan around for some buddy comedy moments.

This gonna be a trilogy run? I've been thinking of doing one, even been messing with the character creator while trying to figure who to play as, class, etc. Vanguard Femshep is sounding good.

Hmm, I might go through ME2. Only ever played through ME3 once and didn't really like it that much. In fact, playing these games makes me want to give Andromeda another shot more than ME3...odd. There's a trophy for going through all three games on the same character, though, so might as well go two-thirds of the way at least, haha.

Does ME3 have mods on PS4? Doubtful, but maybe there's hope.

Krogan charges.

Shep raises a hand.

Krogan flies off into the space battle on an extreme elliptical orbit.

Wrex sometimes lifts chargers and they fly off, haha. But, I have yet to see elliptical orbits that can outrun my boolits.

If I hadn't done some sidequests, this probably would've only taken a couple days to playthrough. Shouldn't be too hard.
