this is a death knell for most things that aren't extremely popular

It's pure jank. Nothing works well, and the characters should all die in a hole.

I have a pair of friends who I played hundreds of hours of L4D with. We were all pretty hyped for the game and dropped it not long after in disappointment.

My big complaint was that outside of graphics, everything both of them did the games it was a spiritual successor for did better. The maps were a lot less memorable and much more samey, the special infected were less fun to fight, the player characters are all either incredibly bland or just kind of annoying unlike both super fun L4D casts. To top everything off the actual content in the game on release was slim pickings, further content drops were all paid dlc, and there's no mod support.

Its less a really bad game and more a death by a thousand cuts situation

I hated the card system.

The controls just felt wrong.

The aiming had acceleration, but it just came to a dead stop with no slowdown.

I dont know if they ever fixed that, but it was awful.

The game lacks the soul of Left 4 Dead.

The music is bland, the characters are nowhere near as fun and likable as the previous two groups. Which in my opinion helped make those games so fun.

Also the special infected are all carbon copies of each other. And they have the most inconsistent spawns I've ever seen.

Some quick thoughts after beating act 3. I best 1-2 on launch week. The game feels much easier. I remember going through level 1/1 nightmare with my friend and we couldnt even get out of the first horse. But I just did it with bots with barely taking any damage

The game is fun to me and my friends ever since they toned down the difficulty which was way too high before for the easiest difficulty. L4D was fun because you could roll on through with friends having a good time, that was not the case with B4B for a long time but things are much better now and it is due to them fixing the absurd difficulty.

A lot of people do not like the card system and the corruption cards thing this game has which is understandable..

i honestly enjoyed the card system since it made for interesting runs and pretty fun builds.

think the game was too expensive for what it was, which made it hard to recruit friends to buy it.
