I also put a spoiler on the game's name, with the exception of the first letter (also removed any "the" that might come first), just in case people didn't want to come in to immediately be spoiled, and the line in the middle separates the name of the game and the spoilers from the game:

  • Grand Theft Auto V - Trevor killing Johnny from GTA: LatD/ Franklin being able to kill either Michael or Trevor at the end
  • Last of Us Part II - Abby killing Joel
  • Nier: Automata - A2 killing 2B (act of mercy/ A2 killing 9S at the end/ 9S killing A2 at the end but also dying in the process
  • Walking Dead: Season One - Clementine can kill Lee before he turns into a zombie

Prototype 2 maybe? I haven't played it, but I do know the marketing showed 1's protagonist as the main villain of 2 so he probably dies to 2's protagonist.

God, what a fun game with an absolutely awful story.

But yes, you kill the protagonist from the first game as the final boss in the second.

Mafia 2 - You and your friend end up being the guys who kill Tommy, the protagonist of the first game who is killed at the very end of that game. You play that scene from the other perspective.
