It was the first Pokemon I ever played, it was fine. The avid collectathon fan in me enjoyed finding them all. Cut pokedex with promise of "high quality animations", railroaded story even for pokemon, Charizard shilling, raids being slow, the wild area being flat, no exploration, lack of postgame, removal of megas and Z-moves, removal of Triple Battles and gimmick battles, bad online system after Gen 6 perfected it.
