If Faramir had not captured Frodo, Sam and Gollum in Two Towers and Frodo had not let Faramir have his men rough up Gollum, would Gollum have stayed nice to Frodo and not sent Frodo to that spider, and later attacked Frodo at Mount Doom?

In Two Towers he seemed to banish his evil personality, but then they met Faramir, and by the end of that interaction, Gollum was mad at Frodo

Considering that none of the Faramir stuff happened in the book, but Gollum was still a dick, i think it made little difference

No, that betrayal was part of the book. The Osgiliath stuff and Faramir desiring the Ring was not.

Oh, right. You're correct
I completely misremembered how much they added in for the movie.

Was the whole "Smeagol banishing Gollum" part in the book at all?
Cause i always figured that when he said he'd 'serve the master of the precious' he was underhandedly talking about himself as its true master
