It could be a show on some streaming network

It begins as a typical sci fi setting in space. A society similar to Star Wars or Star Trek. Bunch of species flying around the galaxy interacting with each other. But there are no humans. All kinds of aliens though

Later we find out that people start discovering mysterious very ancient ruins and artifacts. We eventually find out that they were left behind by us. Humans were the first civilization in the galaxy, and we died out before anyone else developed. The show is set like a million years from now

Rest of the story is the characters exploring our remains and maybe fighting a war over our technology

How would you cast for the non-human characters? You just know that the makeup department would simply slap a rubber prosthesis onto the actor's forehead or nose and go, "There you are, there's your non-human character sorted."

They already have space travel. What do they need our tech for? Are they fighting wars to claim the power of tiktok?

There's a particular candy bar that's stuck in an ancient vending machine and they have no idea how to free it up.

You should check out the book Children of Time. The story is kinda similar to your idea.
