I've always understood that they take on some of the DNA of their host. Supposedly a xenomorph will look different based on what species it uses.

What I am wondering is..... what if a xenomorph managed to implant inside a Kryptonian. Or what if it implanted in Thanos? Would the chestburster have the strength to escape its host? Imagine Thanos getting killed by a Chestburster. And imagine a Thanos hosted Xenomorph, or woukd Kryptonian Xenomorph have powers? Could it fly and shoot eye lasers?

Maybe. There was a Superman/Alien crossover once. But I don't think Superman ever allowed a Facehugger to touch him. And now, Alien is owned by Disney. The next crossover would have to be with Marvel

I think they managed to facehug their way through Apokolips and some of the new gods or whatever theyre called. Cant recall the details, its been like 20 years.

Alien vs Marvel would be freaking cool though.

There was also one with Batman

Batman defeats a Xenomorph after it killed Joker

Then like 3 Predators uncloak and express approval of Batman

Depends on the hero and their natural resistance and recovery powers.

Superman, Flash, Hulk, Wolverine, etc, would heal in the even an alien burst out of them. But at the same time it's unlikely a face hugger could impregnate them.

Superman could rip or or burn it off. Flash could vibrate out of its grip. Wolverine could cut himself free. Etc.

I did always envision a Godzilla xenomorph. Godzilla has fast regen as well.

Pretty fitting though. Batman would be able to take a xenomorph and Predators are pretty cool with anyone who could do that

In Batman/Aliens II, a scientist splices Xenomorph DNA with Arkham Asylum inmates DNA, which gives us talking Xenomorphs using guns, and they got the personality of Two-Face, Joker, etc.

There's also a Green Lantern/Alien crossover.
During Kyle Rayner's stint as the sole GL in the 90s, some depowered GL make it to Earth to enlist him in their mission to stop the xenomorphs from wiping out a planet IIRC.

Even though those Batman/Alien crossovers sound awful, the original Batman vs Predator is one of the best crossovers I've ever read. It actually feels like a Predator movie and there's a clear winner unlike most of these BS stalemate and team up crossover comics.

The Batman sequel could straight up be Batman vs Predator totally forgetting about his normal overused villains and I would be totally happy.

Anyway, in the Superman Alien crossover Clark was traveling on a space expedition and was not under a yellow sun. His powers were rapidly diminishing, so the only way the aliens posed a threat to him was because he was at a fraction of his power.

I feel like a hive of Aliens could give Spidey a good fight. They wouldn't be able to facehugger Peter because he wouldn't be dumb enough to stick his face in front of the egg in the first place, but his Spidey sense would warn him. If that did happen though, it would result in a super dangerous Alien though, because the face hugger recombinates DNA with the host, doesn't just lay an egg.

The Brood are also basically inspired by Aliens and are a recurring X Men menace.
