That sounds scary as hell

In case you forgot America strives to drive forever forward to being a boring corporate dystopia.

But tone issues aside, it does have a valid, if tonally cryptic, point. Everybody should have access to the tools necessary for gainful employment in jobs that will exist in the future. If we don't ensure everybody has a fair shot, then society will inevitably spiral into insolvency even faster.

Also arm the teachers or whatever

He's saying education should make people employable, which I can understand, because imagine studying until you're 22 or 23 and no one hires you.

Of course it shouldn't be taken to the extreme, nor standard corporate employment should be the only career option once you graduate.

You should also be given tools to be able to start your own business, work in government, on an NGO or on research.

Education is a point in and of itself. The point of education is not employement.

Don't see absolutely anything wrong with that but of course neither would anyone else under context.

In theory, yes.

Unfortunately, until we move to a UBI system or some other economic system where basic needs are met regardless of your financial input into the system, education to assist with your employment opportunities will be essential

Basically. Our entire system is so completely warped by capitalism and the whims of corporate interests, even though there is easily enough wealth to provide everyone with a good life regardless of circumstances.

It shouldn't be the government's responsibility to provide corporations with trained workers. Full stop.
