I don't really care about American Football. But I am aware that Madden 23 is hated for being maybe the worst one in the series. It was the game for the year John Madden died. So they put his face on the cover again for the first time since the 90s I think

But they didn't bother to make a good game. Even as someone who gives no fucks about the series, I feel pissed that EA didn't put in any effort to try to honor Madden with a decent fucking product. I wonder if his family is mad about it

And every single year they sell millions of copies

At this point it's hard to even be mad at the developers anymore when you're buying their crap. No wonder their standards are so low.

If no one bought Madden 23, then they'd actually put effort into 24.

NHL from 22 to 23 was an absolute joke also. One year they didnt even bother changing the game menus and everything looked identical to the previous year.

Sports games sell regardless of quality so they dont care.

I wish there could be good alt sport games that didn't either have to be
  1. cheap
  2. gimmicky in order to get around the fact they can't use real teams.
