Depends on your definition of "mainstream" but there is almost always a very loud subset of Christians crying about any Hollywood/major TV presentation of their religion Anyways I thought the Judas Gospel turned out to be a hoax? Some dude just happened to have it in a safety deposit box but when scrutinized it didnt pass muster. Or maybe Im thinking of some other long lost biblical apocrypha.
