Tesla will start to lose its monopoly on the EV market over the next few years, so I don't think its a good buy anyways. Pretty much every big manufacturer is coming out with hybrid and full EV models. Tesla probably still leads the way with its technology but most people don't get the full upgrades for all the autopilot stuff anyways and there will always be the fear of an accident not paying attention with a self-driving car. Not to mention their cheapest base model is still decently expensive. ... Copied to Clipboard!

And I'm a perfect example of a consumer that probably could afford a tesla, and need a new car in the next few years, but I'm waiting to see what other manufacturers come up with. I was actually pretty set on getting a tesla a year or 2 ago. I've completely changed my mind now. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Teslas look so basic and simplistic, that its pretty much the brand and the keeping up with joneses whats making so many people to buy them. Also the Elon loyalty.
