was looking at getting the terminator 2 one and was seeing if anyone here has had any experience with their arcade machines before

I have one that has some classic arcade games like Galaga and stuff and it works great and at least to me seems like good quality. I've had it for about 4 years now. It wasn't hard to put together and came shipped well. Mine has a trackball and joysticks and both work great. I don't know how one with the light gun would be but I myself wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

yea one of my biggest concerns was assembling the thing and if it was cheap materials that they used. glad to hear yours has held up over the years and leaning towards buying one myself

My brother bought a TMNT arcade machine but I'm not sure what brand. He really likes it.

this is a good question: I found the arcade1up machines are good for joysticks and buttons... but Terminator 2 has a big heavy gun so I'm not sure

ill let you guys know how it is when i set it up. just ordered it and it said it will be about a week or two for delivery and then i probably wont set up the thing till closer to christmas. it looks like its going to be awesome though

I have the TMNT cab and Marvel Vs Capcom. The artwork is nice but the stick and buttons are definitely not arcade quality. They are nice cabs to have as nostalgia. My nephews love coming over to play TMNT even though we beat both games already. Id only get them if the original arcade holds a special place in your heart. These cabs will allow you to relieve them glory days

apparently i missed the delivery because i wasnt home and you have to sign for the package. the next delivery day is monday when i have work all day so it looks like fedex will be making a few attempts

I'm biased because I have real arcade machines

The 1up machines are low quality junk, IMO.

for $400 instead of a couple grand it should still have a lot of action

i would like to see if there are ways to add more light gun games to it. if i could get some stuff like house of the dead, lethal enforcers, or area 51 added to it that would be pretty cool

Silent Scope was cool cuz there was a second screen inside the gun scope so it was both a light gun game and a sniping game at the same time

drinking some beers and building this thing. so far everything is well labeled and packaged

Looks nice. Too bad its just one game. They should've really thrown in that areomith light gun game

Looks beautiful. I havent touch my two arcade1up cabs in like 6 months but i like how they look

yea aesthetically it looks really cool. its going to be hiding in this closet for a couple of weeks til christmas though but its surprisingly easy to move around on the wood floors. next year i might get the mortal kombat one

yea i believe most of their machines have an online leaderboard. now up to 55 all time for mine

Can you hack these things to add more games?

yes. the other machines they have look pretty easy to. the problem with the terminator one is getting the light guns that come with it to work with other games but you can get different light guns and make it work according to others

How is the quality of the guns? I read there might be some issues with them and could be the reason the original had them on a fixed mount.

guns are a little light weight and the trigger feel isnt ideal for any other game than a machine gun style. the only problem ive had with the guns is being too close to the screen with them. you have to be about two feet back from the screen and then they are accurate at that distance
