The most recent official western release of Star Ocean 2 was a remake on psp. Japan got polished up port of it on ps4 and switch too I think. But not in the west. We got the port of Star Ocean 1 but for some reason they refused to give us the 2nd one Star Ocean 2 should be on switch and steam in the western market ... Copied to Clipboard!

Star Ocean 2 is the best game on the PS1. Fight me if you disagree. That game is fucking amazing. Used to afk-sleep for 8 hours with the TV on and the Cave of Trials theme playing...then wake up and go at it all day. When I played the original I think I accidentally triggered the limiter release or something because I had no issues throughout the entire game and the final boss one shotted my party immediately.
