In Switzerland, credit cards aren't a common payment method in everyday life. I have one, but only use it for online transactions occasionally. Pandemic showed me that I actually have no interest in going to stores, so I was doing online only and was planning to continue doing so. Interchange fees have now thrown a wrench in that.
