The ideal default but it doesn't work as a strong position from which you never waver. The idea of Centrism is that you weigh arguments and make a choice, not linger in the center and never take a step.

the issue with that stance is that most people on the left or right are idiots and cant think for themselves and wont vote for a good policy because its a policy the other party usually supports. see: anything relating to using taxpayer money to fund infrastructure, public healthcare, public education, welfare, anything other then keeping coal mines afloat
