DarkRoast 08/15/22 3:45:50 PM #1:	Granted, this was back in the early 2000's, but after the first area you basically couldn't go anywhere outside solo. The monsters were so strong they'd literally one-hit-kill any character except a tank. I remember thinking World of Warcraft was like babby's first MMO after playing FFXI for years. The amount of effort it took to finish the quest to become a Summoner was insane. \ Also, getting to that central hub city was glorious because it had airships to other cities (except they were really expensive) --- Lenovo Legion 7 - Ryzen 5900HX, RTX 3080 16 GB (165W), 32 GB DDR4-3200 By Grabthar's hammer............... You could actually still play the PS2 version in 2016. And losing xp when you died like EverQuest was brutal, especially when it meant having to leave a party to head back to a different area. but farming NMs solo/duo was fun. Everyone had their roles to play. Fights were meaningful and required good coordination and proper understanding of your job. Everything since thing is solo the entire game. Ability spam. Occasionally enter a party. Ability spam. --- Like 90% of CE topics are the same way lol.
