honestly 'gaming laptop' is a silly concept to me

high resolution is pointless on a tiny screen, and if you're linking it to a large one you may as well have a tower/mini-tower

the materials are light enough now that you can build a gaming rig that is a reasonable weight and move it around as needed

we have smartphones for mobile functionality, a basic laptop for watching movies and playing board games online when not at home, and a couple gaming towers for legit games

Nobody is going to carry a tower and a monitor around. And in the case of laptops, the RTX 3080 mobile is as powerful as a desktop 3070, which is more than enough to Max everything out at 1440p.

My last gaming laptop had that issue, thankfully the one I have now does not have this issue.
