(not gonna evolve it or use items in battle)

i always thought drowzee was cool but ive never used it in game, so heres my chance

i can give the rival a custom starter or just keep him using the classic eevee. any suggestions for a good opponent for drowzee?

no missingno is garbage drowzee will easily just outspeed and oneshot it

Some ideas for rival:
Sandshrew/Ekans line - 2 evo pokemon found on rohte 11, same as Drowzee.
Jynx/Execute - Psychic types also known for Sleep. Psychic v Psychic gets boring, though.
Gastly line - You're strong against him, but it's a strong pokemon. Haunter can wreck you early game.

tried beating brock with pound and hypnosis a few times, just wasnt happening with his bullshit 10 full heals, had to go to level 17 for confuse ray to beat him

probably not, psychic type is pretty broken in gen 1 and drowzee is quite tanky and has access to sleep
