It's kind of rubbing insult on the injury. Cause in my head Im like "IT TASTE LIKE NOTHING, LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE!" lol. Do I just start pretending stuff tastes good so I don't have to keep having the same conversation? >_>. It's tiring to keep bringing up that I can't taste the things while she's looking for confirmation that I enjoy it. I didn't think this would be a hard concept for people to grasp lol. She's a good person tho, so I don't take it to heart. I get glimpses of it coming back when I eat certain stuff. If it doesn't, I feel mentally prepared for it. Despite this topic maybe making it seem like Im more bothered than I am. I went with spicy stuff during the peak of it simply because I could taste it better than anything else. Can you at least lean into certain foods so you taste something? --- I don't believe in belts. Im oddly at peace with not tasting things. I mean, Id love for it to come back. But Im planning my future around the idea that it won't just to be prepared. But yeah, I actually did kind of taste the chicken sandwich and fries last night. Also, I drink those energy juice V8s and I can taste like 60% of those. Im glad you got your taste back. Even though I feel fine, I wouldn't wish losing taste forever on anyone. Im kind of thrown off myself by how ok I am with it. I might just be on a post-Covid high.
