A lot of fake rolexes are out there. Do you think you could tell them apart?

I couldn't spot a Rolex in the first place.

Hold it to your ear. Rolex doesnt tick. The second hand rolls.

I think that an authentic Rolex has no plastic on it. If there is plastic, its fake.

this could be true. but, believe it or not, many fake rolexes cost like several hundred american so many even have an automatic movement and obv. no plastic parts

A bad fake yeah probably. A good fake no chance.

I've held several fakes in hand before. I would at least look at the indentation of the crown on the side. And then there's the secret crown hidden on the glass. There's a third check I was taught. But I can't remember.

Can't remember the third? Faker.

No. You pretty much need to be an expert on watch appraisal to do it. I've seen videos where people go over fake Rolex and explain how they know it's fake and it's always some bullshit that's impossible to identify without already knowing.

It's shit like "this watch has written on it that it was made in 1967 but Rolex didn't actually make any watches this year that has this particular mineral in it which you can see in the screw that holds down the watch hands"
