Wade had legitimate issues even when it was active (RBG famously wrote an op-ed criticizing the decision) but instead of actually trying to solve the problem, we just stood with an already kind of flaky Supreme Court decision while the republicans would scream "we're gonna stack the Bench and overturn it" and we just went "yeah okay" and are acting upset now that they've finally done it. We could have protected this beyond Roe v. Even though I didnt want to see it overturned, I knew it would be eventually, and anyone sufficiently knowledgeable and objective would agree that it should be overturned, and hoped against hope that the people in power would do the right thing and enshrine it in law before the inevitable.
