The President of Tacos is a place where I have always wanted to go, but I never know if the line is big enough to wait in, if there will be a long wait, or if it will be worth it. So I made a reservation as I have seen on many of the reviews on Yelp, however, I never got a response from the restaurant, not even when I reserved it and then tried to call them.

Luckily for me I saw a reservation posted online and figured I would give it a shot and see how things go and if there is a wait, we can skip and try another time. I reserved for 9:30 pm, so I figured that would work best for our group.

We had heard of Tacos el Presidente from a friend who had eaten there before and she really liked it. When we first walked into the restaurant we were immediately overwhelmed by the amount of noise, people and overall hustle and bustle of the place. There was a lot of people inside, the restaurant was not very big, and they were all waiting outside for tables to open up. The inside looked clean but not overly fancy, they had only about 10 seats in the restaurant and they were all in a line, but the seats we were seated in, were the first two of the ten. We had been told that the wait is up to 3 hours if you do not get there for a reservation, but we did not want to take the chance on that.

We also were not sure if the restaurant would be able to accommodate our party of 8 with the amount of people that were waiting for tables. The restaurant was packed, and there was a hostess/host waiting to seat people as they came in and as you approached the counter to pay for your order. We could not be sure of how long the wait would be before we were seated. After going inside I went up to the counter to check on things and before I could even look up at the hostess she told me that they were not allowing more people in, and that there was a wait for tables. She even told me that she did not think I would get in with our party as the hostess had seen all the people waiting and when she told her about our party, the hostess told her it was a waste of time.

She then told me that I would have to go back out and wait again. The hostess was very rude and seemed to care more about not letting more people into the restaurant than making sure that we got seated. I could see that some of the tables were reserved, so we sat down and I asked the waitress who our server would be.

If this was really a Wendy's then it would have to be the worst Wendy's I've ever been to. I ordered the classic triple meat sandwich and the chicken sandwich. The meat was cold and dry and seemed as if it were thawed out.
