I saw the stage version and not the movie, but probably not. I like musicals and it wasn't too hard to enjoy this for me, but it was pretty dumb. I had tickets to see this and Book of Mormon in 2020, and I sure wish this had been the May show instead. --- "Like you're standing in front of them with your hands behind your back, and then present a small ribbon-wrapped gift to them." I get that Ben Platt did the original play, but yeah he looked really old to play a 17 year old. It might be a case of nepotism, but overall it was really distracting. I think the actors did a good job with what they were given, but I had a hard time getting into the movie. I hear the actual play is really good, so I might give that a shot. --- DI MOLTO! ...
