This is a question I often find myself asking, because no one actually really knows, and I tend to see conflicting reports online on what being "saturated" is and how many "happiness points" one can earn. Some reports seem to claim the "game" is incredibly addictive, while others maintain that playing is relatively non-addictive. So, how do I decide for myself? Well, I did some research. I read some of the game descriptions, took a poll among a few friends and colleagues, and consulted the game's website.

I also downloaded the game, took a short test (I had to answer some questions before the game actually starts and after it was completed), and played with an imaginary world.

The results are that most people will say that the game is either addictive, or moderately addictive. But then there are those who are not sure, or those who say that the game is definitely not addictive. I guess I was in the latter group, and I will admit that after playing, I find it hard to be objective in my conclusion. After all, I did not even finish the game!

So my point in sharing my research is simply to say, I find it interesting that no one seems to really know what playing the game is like. Is the addiction that common, or is it really difficult to know for certain what is happening in the brain when one plays the game? If it is truly addictive, I am certainly glad that I found out now, rather than later!
