my current deck is sultai morph mill with kadena, slinking sorcerer
i do like it a lot but its starting to get old. just grind out a bunch of 0 mana draw by flashing in morphs on each players turn for value and then start grinding down your opponents decks. i want something else to play sometimes

main ideas im thinking of:
green and white selvala as angel tribal
saffi eriksdotter as reanimator+birthing pod
derevi as merfolk tribal
derevi as wizard tribal

thoughts on these ideas or any ideas you think i would like based on what i find interesting?

Why Derevi for Wizard tribal? If you wanted to make this like 6 years ago when we didn't have as many options I'd understand, or are you just really into WG as a color combo(it's in all 4 of your ideas)?

i think theres a lot of cool shit you can do with mass untap of wizards. they have a lot of strong tap effects. and she herself is a wizard
also yeah i like WG a lot

Never played commander before. Are the games typically around the same duration as 60-card constructed?

nah, they go on a lot longer.
theres 2 more players, decks are much more lategame oriented with a lot of ramp and big winconditions, everyone has twice as much life and you get into durdly situations where nobody wants to be the first to attack because they dont want to let their shields down. its fun though
id guess about 1 an hour on average for my group

I made a Kadena deck too and I was looking into Vadrik, Astral Archmage as another commander. I don't really have a spellslinger/voltron deck and that one seems neat. In general I've been looking for some kind of red deck that isn't about going wide, since I have two decks that do that already.

I use Neheb, the Eternal as my mono-red option but he's more ramp into a big X-spell than spellslinger. Also it's my only deck I just randomly built from scratch out of my collection, so it's absolute garbage. I should really get around to updating my list.

i think that wort the raidmother is the coolest spellslinger deck 0: it does technically "go wide" because you make a bunch of creature tokens but youre just using them to copy your burn spells, not to attack

Ive considered Wort also. Might actually go that route, since two of my decks have blue already, and swapping them to a third deck is annoying.

I guess I won't be able to do that with my playgroup. We play at work so time is very limited.
