Board 8 > Best spy movie of 2021?

Have only seen Black Widow out of this group so not voting. My parents saw Bond and one hated it while the other was apathetic.

Bond, but haven't seen King's Man

Black Widow is a bit underrated I think, this board especially seemed to despise it (I will accept I have no attachment to Taskmaster which definitely changed things).

I liked a lot of aspects of Black Widow but felt the story was very weak. A solid 6/10 film IMO. That said it doesn't seem anybody really hates it particularly, even from what little I saw of MauLer's rage video he seemed to be mostly using the film as a vector to attack the entire direction of Phase 4.

I don't hate any MCU film I have seen. Eternals and Thor are my two least favorite of what I have seen and even they're probably at the lower end of 6/10 for me.

why didn't they like the bond movie? i thought the new one was rather good for the most part

black widow had some good ideas, but failed to follow through on any of them when it remembered it was supposed to be a marvel comedy (i'd say the turning point was the helicopter turret)

i haven't seen any of the kingsman movies, but i've heard good things and they're on the list for sure

My mom just found No Time to Die unmemorable while my dad didn't like how little action there supposedly was in it.

Anyway from what I gather it was mostly acclaimed as a send off for Craig's Bond while the villain and his evil plan were just whatever.

Black Widow was good but not great. Many points to Yelena (she got to survive despite being teed up to die), but some of the CGI was ridiculous. Plot wasn't anything special. Action was decent, but kind of unmemorable. Some of the best parts were regarding the dysfunction of the family.

No Time to Die was phenomenal through and through, hitting plot, characters, and action all right, though parts of how it ended felt a little forced. The villain's plot was pretty nonsensical and didn't fit his character, and the whole thing was too perfectly over-the-top to be believable.

Never saw The King's Man so I can't comment on it.
