Board 8 > Anyone else play the LoL RPG: Ruined King?

I'm about 20 hours in and it's been a pretty solid little RPG so far. The combat has a few twists to make it fun but it's also kinda simple if you're familiar with turn based RPG.

My only experience with LoL was Legends of Runeterra and Arcane but I like this world and these characters that they've created.

The upcoming fighting game also looks really good! I used to play a lot of Dota 2 but I had to stop because it was ruin my day so I doubt I'll be playing LoL anytime soon but these games do inspire me to give it a try!

I would if it had champs I like. But it doesn't so I'm not really interested :x

It is getting hilarious that the worst game Riot is going to end up owning is League of Legends, by the looks of things.

How's the storyline? The Ruination in-game event for LoL had some atrocious writing, but the story beats had potential if someone with some skill had a shot at it.

How is it if all you care about is Arcane?

I know it doesn't have those characters, but as far as tone and aesthetic go.

I still wouldn't play if it had just Arcane characters.

Give me one of the like 30 different animal/monster champions they've created and not just completely ignoring them because China only likes the boobies and hotti-guys

It's pretty typical "save the world" kinda storyline but the character interactions and motivations are pretty good so far.

My biggest complaint is that all of the areas are a little samey since it's only set in Bilgewater. It's a lot of sunken temples and blue/grey color palettes.

Similar tone to Arcane but the plot is pretty simple comparatively. It's a very typical RPG plotline of "a group of strangers need to work together to save the world and they become friends and blah blah"

It was only like 10 dollars with the Epic coupon and I've already gotten 20 hours out of it so for that price I'm having fun. It very much feels like a well executed classic RPG and it would have been at home on the PS1 or PS2 back in the day.

This game started to lose me by the end but fortunately it was only about 20 hours to finish. If anyone is looking for a short, cheap, RPG it wasn't too bad.
