They just seem to have zero idea how publishing licenses and standard business agreements work. Like they'll swear up and down that a third party exclusive will stay exclusive to Nintendo because "Nintendo published it" ignoring the fact that it's always just an international publishing deal and the domestic rights stay in Japan, meaning the trademark holder can then publish it themselves on other consoles internationally.

They also can't seem to understand that Pokemon is a Nintendo franchise. Like, they always claim that it's really a "The Pokemon Company" franchise as if Nintendo holds zero say or ownership over it. This one is especially funny seeing as how Nintendo's name is on literally every Pokemon game, Nintendo owns the actual trademark, and the fact that the past three presidents of Nintendo have been The Pokemon Company executives before becoming President of Nintendo.

That's a lot of words for saying absolutely nothing.

I don't find that is limited to Nintendo fans really.

Can you actually prove they own 100% of the trademark?

This aint the place to be talking shit about Nintendo fans, TC.

Think of this example: Ready Player One is filled with references to other movies, comic books, video games, and probably some things I didn't catch. The average viewer doesn't know who original created them or who currently owns the rights to them. They just think "there's a thing I recognize from somewhere else" without being concerned about how it's able to be part of this movie.
