I dont know the exact specifics for breeding baby pokemon, or breeding in the first place, but i do believe that sounds right That does require catching a snorlax first... and whilst im not 100% certain snorlax is available in the overworld (Bulbapedia can say for sure) im pretty sure ive seen that in the underground as well.
