Roguelite's are typically a genre I don't really enjoy, but this one has really managed to grab me.This is basically what if Metroid was a 3rd person roguelite but also a bullet hell game? It nails the look and atmosphere and especially the DIFFICULTY. The real winner here is the movement though it feels so good to control Selene and zip her through the environment, especially after you get upgrades like the grappling hook. The story really takes a turn after you reach the halfway point and again after you beat the game the first time and set about to unlock the true ending. Ended up having to look at a youtube video to fully make sense of the whole thing

The platinum can be a bit of a grind near the end. Beyond just finishing the story you also have to find all the collectibles in all 6 biomes and since it's all randomly generated you need to do multiple runs over and over again to find everything. I think I ended around 90ish runs and 50 or so hours played. Luckily they don't also make you unlock all the weapon traits, artifacts and consumables or this would have easily been a 100+ hour platinum.
