That said, E3 has been extremely underwhelming this past decade or so. On the one hand, I've really missed the crowd reactions, the inexplicable celebrity guests, or the batshit insanity of things like Microsoft showing off a car onstage, RIIIIIDGE RACER etc. The online nature of the Post-Covid E3 has definitely lacked that enthusiastic-but-vaguely-unhinged charm that makes E3 feel special. That said, with it being all digital I feel like I've seen more of the games than I usually would. Just a way to get the public to demo their games and give in-person feedback.
