Just completed what is basically the prologue without being called the prologue.

- the combat seems fun so far, and I can sorta see the ways it's going flesh out as the game progresses. I wish hits felt a little weightier, but I'm coming off Scarlet Nexus where everything had a nice satisfying crunch to it.

- I like that the story has a serious tone to it, even if so far it's a little... Unsubtle.

- It shouldn't surprise me by now to be hearing familiar voice actors/actresses, but the one who plays Shionne has been in four games I've played in the last two years.

She played a fairly significant character in Lost Judgment, and one of the playable characters in Desperados III last year. Also she is apparently Ashley in WarioWare, lol.

I dont think i like the male protagonist's design. Something about the big eyepatch-facemask thing looks stupid to me.

Lindbeck was pretty much a main character in a lot of Japanese games for like 2 years straight.

Like no shit she was/ is reaching Laura Bailey # of roles when she was in anime.

Arise is the first Tales game that feels like they actually put effort into it after over a decade of not bothering.

I really hated that game. Its pretty good for the first two worlds but when the repetitiveness and lack of gameplay progression sets in it just becones so boring.

Thats not even taking into vonsideration all of the second half of the game.

I think it's probably the timing I go over there. I think I went over there when Death Loop was getting good reviews and people were calling it a SJW agenda and how Japanese games are better because they don't have an agenda or something. Tales of Arise got released around the same time so that probably played a big role in it as well.

I like the gameplay and that's pretty much it. Which is standard fare for a Tales game I guess.
