Cant marvel just have stand alone movies not connected to anything for once?

By giving Garfield more to work with and a redemption for his story? Or was it by letting Maguire be the older Peter who had figured out how to be Spiderman and Peter and got redemption by fixing his villains?

I didnt like how Octavius didnt acknowledge the alternate universe Dr. Connors when it was established in Spider-Man 2 that in his universe him and his Connors knew each other. Wouldnt have been important, but I thought it would have been a neat interaction since hes the only other alternate universe character that he knew besides Peter.

I was also prepared for Flint to be any ally, but then it was like as soon as he realized it was a different Peter Parker he just turned heel and stayed heel. I also dont really know what his motivation for listening to Gobbys speech was since in 3 its obvious everything he does is for his daughter and staying in that universe seems counterintuitive to that, seemed weird.

Guess he just wanted to keep his powers but it still didnt seem to stack up with the character we know from 3. Or maybe he doesnt know that he actually survives his battle with Spider-Man.

Still loved the movie tho

Are you talking about the fact the villains are essentially going back to their universe healed?

I feel like it wasn't about Goblin at that point. Flint wanted to grab the box and go home and that was his motivation. Peter wasn't letting anyone go back until everyone was fixed and that is probably why Flint attacked him, because Peter wasn't going to let them all go back until it was done and well...none of the villains were going to allow it.

I'm confused by what you mean by this. Connors is already in the Tobey movies and he's a different person.

Thats what Im saying, he only meets two alternate universe characters that he knows in his own universe and its Peter and Connors. I just thought there might be an interaction between those two (Octavius/TASM Connors) but it never happened.

Like I said wasnt a movie breaker nor do I think it would have been an important interaction, just something that I thought about as I was watching.

But in retrospect they didnt really have Connors do or say much in the movie at all lol.
