than their parents? something i always wondered since i've only known my grandmother on my father's side and no other grandparents. no similarities between her and me nor my two direct parents / nor anything i really seen from my aunts and uncles when visiting them while i was growing up. sort of wondering if my grandfather or great grandfather war more like me and interests and temperament and IQ.
anyone else sorta relate to their distant older relatives more than their parents / aunts and uncles? i wanna say, at least in my experience, that similarities skipped a generation and i never knew my older relatives to confirm. just knowing my immediate family is not like me at all in personality / temperament / IQ / interests. --- ''If I knew how to dox people, and you lived close to me, I would beat you with a bat.'' My grandfather had a PC and video game consoles in the 80s. He also owned a TV repair shop and I've always liked tinkering with electronics before deciding if they're bad. Repaired my laptops a bunch of times.
