The saber duels between Rey and Kylo Ren were great, the huge fleet of civilian ships was a hype moment, Palpatine's lightning was fucking rad...Stuff like Luke catching the lightsaber as Rey threw it into the fire, then walking out with it in his hand... ~~Even things like revisiting the crashed ruins of the Death Star, though cheesy and not really 'necessary,' felt really cool and significant.~~ I just wish the story felt more thought-out and better-written as a whole. 7 and 8 were both great movies, and 9 is just...decent. It felt more like one of the prequels in terms of writing and contrived silliness, and I think ~~"redeemed Ben" needed more screen time.~~ --- I write Naruto Fanfiction.
