When I started with AT&T in March, I bought gigabit internet and cable TV service through AT&T TV. I got a TV box such works through the internet and it was working great. I didn't want another TV box for my upstairs TV, so I just streamed TV to watch sports through whichever app I wanted to watch. CBS, NBA, AMC, ESPN, NBC, NBC Sports, Fox Sports, etc.

The app gives you a code and tells you to go to that company's web site to sign into your account with your cable service provider. Once you do that, your TV is authorized to stream the sports game unless it's pay per view.

Now, AT&T has changed the TV service to DirecTV Stream. DirecTV is telling me that I have to use their app to stream sports games. They don't have an app for Sony Android TVs. So the only other option is to pay $10/month for another TV box. To do something I could do just fine a few weeks ago.

Fuck that

Now I'm just looking into different streaming TV providers.

I've been using Hulu + Live TV as an alternative to cable/dish, and I've been liking it.

If you tell this to customer service, they might give you credit for the box for a while. And if they do, they're often willing to do it more than once.

Boom! That's right, this is all happening! You cannot change the channel now!
the media's gonna put a negative spin on this, like when we killed that guy.

Spectrum having a $200 activation fee for their 940/35 internet is bullshit

They're basically pushing people away from that
