In that his mother wanted a girl so raised him as a girl and forced him to dress and act like a girl. Then in his teenage years, he decided he didnt want to be a girl but had to continue pretending to please his controlling mother.

No, it didn't happen like that. You're thinking of David Reimer, a boy who lost his penis from a botched circumcision and at the advice of doctor John Money, was raised as a girl. Later in life he found out the truth and went on to live as a man. It proved that gender is inherent and not something you can change via nurture.

Yea it probably was written by someone who is anti-trans and believes trans kids shouldnt receive healthcare.
But it actually just shows that the kid is a cis boy and he cant be socialized to become a different gender, which contradicts the anti-trans talking points.

There were a few stories like this on the old detransitioning subreddit, about people having a personal experience with a parent basically forcing them to go through with it.

Parents that do that are legit crazy and i dont understand how they can go through with it. Its like those beauty pageant moms that abuse their kids into fitting a mold to get some attention or attain something they never could.

Nah, the way this comes off is "all those trans kids are brainwashed victims made that way by their parents but I was smart enough to escape and see it for what it was". The wording makes the intent quite clear.

Oh I know thats what theyre going for. But if they actually analyze that situation, it doesnt mean what they think it does.
