When I did remote desktop tech support for Geek Squad, this guy got fired on a Friday. The following Monday, he followed someone in. He then tried to sit down at a computer and take more tech support calls. He was saying some weird stuff about how they legally owe him half a day of work or some crap like that, which doesn't make any sense.

They ended up calling the police and having him arrested.

For real, it was weird AF. Fortunately, he didn't try to hurt anyone. Definitely a tense situation.

I'm not even sure what his thinking was, though. Like... He didn't work for the company any more, but he expected to be able to just take tech support calls as if he did... Not sure how

Back when i worked in retail my management team was deciding which of the seasonals to keep and who to let go...one of them we let go ended up flipping out in the manager's office telling them they'd have to drag her out. Security escorted her out but she came back the next day (which was odd because she didn't have a schedule) and was just kinda there...eventually they pulled her to the back and offered her a job....I guess persistence works sometimes. Or the people i worked for were idiots.

Not come back to work but when I worked at TopGolf there were a lot of people that came back to play after being fired.

I understand why but it was kinda awkward. I quit and havent been back since.

When I was an assistant manager, my own manager tried to fire this young woman. There has to be a witness during terminations, so I got to sit in. He did not know how to fire people. He kept talking the woman's ear off about how the monthly sales numbers are not good, and her performance has been poor. We were in the room for 30 minutes and he never said the lines "you're fired" or "we have to let you go". So the woman was confused.

When we left the room, she tried to go back to her desk and continue working, I had to tell her she was fired. She wasn't aware that she was fired, because my manager didn't fucking say it.

i didn't leave and come back, but i did finish out a shift after being "fired" by my manager once. i wasn't sure if he actually had the authority, and the ones who i know did never contacted me, so i just ignored him for an hour until he left and went home like normal. next day still had no contact from the higher ups, but i decided it wasn't really a job i wanted anyway and stayed home. and then got rehired several years later without any mention of it, so *shrug*
