Poll of the Day > So i did that interview i mentioned a little bit back

My mother talks to one of the guys whos on the interview board and before I went he textes her saying all I really needed to do was show up and I got the spot. Still had to do the questions though but he told her what the questions where so she could relay them to me and I could have longer to think about my answers.

Anyways I was still nervous. But the fact there are 4 openings for it and only 2 people applied plus according to my mother's friend I was highly recommended by my captain before the interview. Im pretty sure I got it. Its just down to warden herself to sign off on it

Uh fucking no?. I turned in the application myself to my captain. She just randomly got a message from him one day mentioning I got the interview before I was officially told I had the interview. As far as getting the questions I coulda easily gotten them myself if I wasnt out od work with a broke hand. And even with that he said I had the promotion as long as I just showed up the questions where just cause that's how they are supposed to do the interview.

If you knew how to read your see its more than just that one guys decision to promote me. My captain. Him a Sgt thats not on My shift and warden all have to sign off on it. Warden is the one I'm waiting on now

Thanks. It makea me feel good my captain highly recommended me but thats offset by the fact it helped me a lot only 2 people myseld included applied for a spot that has 4 openings.

Normally my job will leave a spot open unless they get plenty of applicants so they do have a choice but they just had 2 on night shift resign so that leaves only 1 trainer on night shift they didnt have much choice

And it's my mothers quasi friend telling me this. Just through her cause hes not on my Facebook friends list like her

She used to work there so naturally she knows people there. She doesnt have the pull to get me anything at my job she was at the bottom of the totem pole like me and often made enemies of her supervisors cause shes hot headed
