Anyone else hate when the final boss cant be grappled but of course there is a character who's move set is half grapples? Especially if their most damaging super is a grapple. I feel like I'm fighting with a handicap

Kronika from MK11 cannot be grappled or attacked with a Fatal Blow or Brutality.

So yeah fucking stupid as fuck but I guess that's why they're called bosses

So many times I have almost beat Seth in Street Fighter 4. Super frustrating and good luck using Zangief or R.Mika and trying to see the ending.

EDIT: Mortal Kombat original trilogy games are the worst offenders here.

Fighting Game final bosses being complete bullshit is like a staple for the genre, being a holdover of the arcade era where it's the last chance the game has to suck quarters out of you.

I had the hardest time with El Fuerte even on normal difficulty.

Seth is probably the easiest boss in all of sf. Not saying he never annoyed me or beat me but ive never had issue beating him. R.mika was in 4?

And not all fighting game bosses are cheap. When I think cheap I think snk level bosses. Sf by comparison is pretty fair gill being the cheapest with his auto revive.

Yeah original mk games are brutal. I attribute that to being really stiff feeling though. I honestly think the of triolgy is bad games and nostalgia is what keeps them popular

Another gripe bosses that cant be played at least in a nerferd capacity.

Seth is incredibly predictable. You can just sit back and wait for him to try a full screen wall bounce attack.

Yeah I usually opened with a jump attack cause it seemed like a good 75% chance he was gonna open with his low stretchy arm attack

I swear ive hit her with what ive always called x-ray attacks it just didn't do that last bit where it shows bones breaking etc.

My gripe is when it gimps one specific character. That is atleast gimping all characters

Only guilty gears ive played had ino or whatever as a boss. Witch rocker chick. That shit was bad enough.

What inspired this topic was skull girls. I can beat the boss I just hate how she plays. Her final stage can be a pain cause it gimps a lot of attacks. I quite often lose with her being like maybe 5 hits from being beat.

Toughest bosses ive dealt with was probably that ino chick I mentioned with omega rugal or geonitz from kof being second
