They are even further unlikely from dating one who confuses the gender stuff. Most trans people I know are patient, considerate people who just want to be called/recognized as something. We have several gay bars in my city which I've gone to both to hang and to hang out with my sister who is a lesbian. They're coming around slower than we would like but they are coming around. There's so many examples I've seen on Reddit where people try to guess who in a given instance is trans and fail horribly. Hell, being trans and exposed to a lot of trans people, I sometimes can't either and that's despite being able to pick up on the subtleties.
