The trolley will hit 5 people unless you pull it. If you do, it only hits 1 person. However, the trolley conductor has 2 prior convictions and would go down for life for negligent homicide if you opt not to intervene. If you do intervene, you'll get warned that you may be charged but ultimately nothing happens and all civil lawsuit liability falls upon the train company which forced you into the situation of choosing. The conductor has already killed 14 people and is likely to kill more if you do intervene and thus let him go free.
