Parks and Rec started off terribly and after the introduction of two characters never lets up. Community's first few seasons are fantastic. Then the Harmon and Chevy drama happened and it hit a lull. It's still good but some episodes are hit-and-miss. It does have two characters come in late and they do really well. Even though S2 (pre-Chris/Ben) is far from the show's peak, it's still got some killer episodes like Hunting Trip, Beauty Pageant, Ron and Tammy, and others. Still definitely worth watching far more than S1.
