Don't get involved with them they want you to sign a slave contract.

Don't get involved with FDM Group either

They want you to sign a 2 years mandatory contract doing Software Engineer work at minimum wage salary.

And if you quit or leave for another job they claim they will sue you for $20,000 to $30,000 due to the cost of their "training" you. However the training is bottom shelf stuff that you can get from Free Bootcamps even YouTube

Just an overall bad idea to go with either company you can do better

Okay, thanks

No problem I dodged the FDM Group bullet 3 years ago as well. Wound up finding a job that paid me double what they were planning on paying me for locking me down within that contract.

Try targeting consultant companies like Infosys, Cognizant etc. They're better than FDM Group and Revature and you wont be signing your freedom away

I'm actually doing interviews with Revature right now. Had 2 video chat interviews where I felt like I failed them, but they want me to keep going. Been searching for a job for 2 years after I graduated and this is the only company that wanted an interview. Everything I've seen is relocation jobs but I want to stay in my area, so I just gave up searching elsewhere.

Cognizant is headquartered in the town next to mine so my dad said it would be a great idea to apply. I saw them at my college career fair last year but I forgot how far I got with them, maybe they didn't respond back or something.

They'll hire you because they want you to sign that slave contract.

Even if you land on a project after getting on board with them, the work you'll be doing is worth hundreds of thousands to millions more than what they're paying you. And the fact that you can be sued if you try to leave for better opportunities I'd the worst part. It's really not worth it imo

Don't doubt yourself or sell yourself short. Just keep practicing and keep applying to other opportunities. Even try some Free Bootcamps

They should be a decent company to start with and they will likely give decent pay on your first job about $50,000 - $60,000. And they're not going to lock you in a context like culture companies like FDM Group and Revature will attempt to lock you in

Revature and I don't want to just up and move

It's not worth it at all. Don't leave your home for a bad opportunity

The way they operate, you'll also be expected and demanded to take contracts that are located across the country. So you won't even have a lot of say whether you choose to work over the 2 years contract that you're stuck with in the company.

Sometimes it is good to relocate but not for this. It's only worth it if you're getting well compensated and have some level of freedom
