Not every state is taking COVID seriously and not every city is either.

Idaho has a couple theaters open for example while Washington has nothing open.

Because people will subscribe for a month just to watch that movie and then forget to cancel their sub

Some streaming services will charge an additional price for a day 1 movie release. I recall them doing this with Mulan on Disney+.
