I have a few shares here and there in some ETFs. Very lazy option for people who don't wanna learn what to invest in like me.

index funds and etfs is my thing. passive investing is just like hitting the cheat button and watching your money grow lol. im still dipping my toes in individual stocks. its really tricky, its a lot of research and homework.
Just avoid bankruptcy and lawsuits and you'll be good. Just might take a while to profit on some. Also don't buy options.

Yea, I've been investing for a year now and own about a dozen stocks that are up by almost 40% now. I have a roth IRA for retirement and a normal portfolio geared towards dividends that are gradually increasing.

Yes, I invested in February and I'm up nearly 5k since. Nothing I invested in is down from when I bought it. Peloton and GEVO have been my biggest returns.

I've had stock holdings since I was a kid in high school and my dad taught me how the market works. These days the financial advisor takes care of it. Investment income, rental income, W2 income, it all adds up.

You should try it yourself. Getting a financial advisor is the equivalent of hiring a personal chef. You don't really need it unless you have no time.

Also, didn't Warren Buffet beat a financial adviser just using an index fund?

Honest, just get an ETF that tracks an index you like and you'll be fine.
