Where things going in the real world affect your dream? Usually for me its sounds or music playing near me I hear in my dream despite it not waking me up right aeay. I.e ive woke up numerous times hearing a song in my dream and it went on for at least a minute in dream before I woke up and heard the song playing for real.

But last night had a weird one. I'll try to keep it short. Basically the bed setup at the prison was rearranged and i bitched it was unsafe. Inmate grabs me after that saying "like this" and he has me around the neck and digging two knuckles hard into my kidney. I struggled and he let go and bashed me in the head. I woke up to discover i was having a muscle cramp in the very spot he had been digging his knuckles

Yes. I've had that, sleep paralysis, and lucid dreaming (sleep walking would probably fall in here as well, but I've never experienced that one.) When you are sleeping your body doesn't always shut off all its systems properly.

The sound was is pretty common for me, as I often fall asleep with the tv on, and can sometimes recognize whole episodes while actively being asleep and dreaming. I've experienced the opposite as well, where as I'm waking up, the sound I perceive from the tv slowly raises from inaudible to its correct level.

Your muscle cramp in your dream could go either way. You could have dreamed an attack there, because you where feeling the pain I'm real life. Or your body may hae failed to disable your muscles as much as it should, so when you got grabbed in the dream and started struggling, you where actually tensing your muscles and causing them to cramp.

Yeah I felt the cramp could have been either. A cause of what happened in dream or a result of it. I kinda lean towadrs latter upon thinking on it cause the dream had gone on for awhile before that and the issue that started the attack had been present the whole time.

It was a disturbing dream over all. Even had literal children in prison. And apparently that was over some new laws that didnt get properly explained in said dream. Though thinking about it may have been my brains way of showing my conflicted feelings on the whole situation at the detention camps on the border. It was a hispanic girl that stuck in mybmind the most

Just the other night I had a dream that I caught covid and was dying in a hospital bed. My chest felt tight and I could barely breathe. Woke up to find my cat laying on my chest with his nose pressed against mine.

Yeah. I always hear stuff in my dreams. like the tv or youtube. Sometimes, music or a ringtone. I can even understand it. Like I'll wake up, and rewind the show or whatever a bit, and hear what I heard in my dream...

I've had dreams where I REALLY need to pee but I can't find a bathroom anywhere. And then I wake up and I REALLY need to pee!

I've had these. I heard something been put through the letterbox in my dream and when I woke up that's exactly what happened. Also as already said I've needed to pee in my dream and then woke up needing to pee. I don't sleep with devices on if I can help it but I've feel asleep watching something before and then whatever I was watching appears in my dreams. One of the worse dreams I've had I dreamed I couldn't move and when I woke up I couldn't move or feel anything. That was probably a dry run for death.

I remember one where someone was watching Monsters Inc. while I was asleep. When that yeti dude was talking about that guy calling himself King Itchy, I dreamed that it was the actor providing that voice, giving that speech while accepting an award during a ceremony..
