FFVIIR feels more than a remake, tbh; it makes enough changes to feel like an entirely new game, which uses the original's story as a foundation, but also does its own thing.
Persona 5 Royal is an expansion, but you just can't buy the new content separately. Demon's Souls remake, at least gameplay-wise, looks like it plays almost identically to the original. --- The pamphlet on First Life contains 93 lies and 7 truths.
