My last saves were listed as being on 12/15 of last year, so almost exactly. I apparently left off in the mountains to northeast of the map, with a lot of blowing snow obscuring the view. Just wandered around to regain my bearings and managed to find three shrines and two Korok seeds in just about an hour.

That game still rocks

I'm always going to be in the minority here, but BotW felt like an open-world game with a Zelda aesthetic slapped over it. It's a great open-world game, but a bad Zelda game. (In my completely personal and unpopular opinion.)

Fantastic game. Exceptional execution of an open world concept. Brilliant return to roots and progression for the Zelda series.

Based on interviews, the sequel is very likely to have a lot of focus on caves and dungeons, which was the weakest area of BotW. Relatively poor enemy variety was the other area is was sub par, but I think there's a good chance that will improve too.
